Bertie’s Year, beautifully pieced, hand appliqued and embroidered by my Sister-in-Law, is done. 70 hours of quilting, including stitching in the ditch around all applique and block borders, it is near completion. Only binding is left for her to be finished. I used Superior’s Bottom Line for ditching and swirl fill, top and bottom, Glide with Bottom Line in the bobbin for the borders, sashing, and black triangles around the blocks. The quilting in the colored triangles was done with Glide/Omni (bobbin), or Omni/Omni, depending on the color. Batting is Hobbs Wool. Did I mention, I love my Innova Longarms. Here are photos of the result. Enjoy!
